The 2024 Kel-Mac Saddle Club Show Season is about to begin!
Why Choose Kel-Mac for Your Beginning Riders or Horses?
As you curry the last of the winter coat off of your horses, standing there, covered in horse hair, you might notice an unmistakable buzz in the air, signaling the much-anticipated start of the Kel-Mac Saddle Club Show Season!
Since 1976, the Kel-Mac Saddle Club and Horse Shows have been designed to introduce novice riders, green horses, and riders of all disciplines, English, Western, Gaited, and Trail, to the horse show world in a less intimidating and supportive environment. In addition, Kel-Mac gives returning and seasoned riders a competitive but affordable environment to test themselves and their horses.
What’s New This Season?
Last year we asked for your input and, because of your requests and suggestions, we’re thrilled to announce several exciting updates and additions that promise to make our show season more dynamic and enjoyable than ever before.
New Jump and Class Patterns: Prepare to be challenged and delighted by our brand-new jump and class patterns. Designed to test the skills of both horse and rider, these additions are sure to bring a fresh sense of excitement and competition to the ring.
Classes for Green Horses: Recognizing the importance of providing opportunities for our younger or less experienced equine partners, we’ve introduced classes specifically designed for green horses. This is a fantastic chance for them to gain valuable show experience in a supportive environment.
Online Registration and Payment: To make the process as smooth and easy as possible, we’ve implemented an online registration and payment system. Now, participants can easily sign up for their preferred classes and make payments with just a few clicks from the comfort of their homes! Visit our website: Kel-Mac.com, to sign up for shows, memberships, trail rides and other upcoming events. And check out Facebook page at KelMac Saddle Club to keep up with what’s going on! Questions regarding registration, membership, or anything Kel-Mac can be sent to kelmac2024@gmail.com.
Of course, we continue to offer challenging classes for our English, Western, and Gaited riders and horses at the Novice, Junior, Senior, and Green Levels as well as Trail classes for all disciplines.
Kel-Mac Saddle Club has always been committed to fostering a supportive and educational environment for all riders—whether they’re stepping into the show ring for the first time, fine-tuning their skills, making a return to showing, or introducing their horses to the competitive scene. Our goal is to ensure that everyone involved has a positive and enriching experience. We are hoping that the updates and changes we are implementing will do just that!
A Call for Volunteers
Our horse shows are made possible by the dedication and hard work of our amazing volunteers. As we gear up for this season, we’re extending an invitation to anyone interested in being part of the excitement. Volunteering at our shows is a wonderful way to connect with the equestrian community, learn more about horse shows, and support your fellow riders and horses. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to a full day, your help will be greatly appreciated. We need volunteers, at the Morgan County Agricultural Arena on Friday, 1:30-4, and all day on Saturday. Please call or email Show Secretary, Susan Walton, at 706 296 3542/ slp1by@yahoo.comto sign up!
Join us on April 13th at the Morgan County Agricultural Arena. We’re looking forward to an incredible show season filled with friendly competition, learning opportunities, and, most importantly, fun! Whether you’re a horse rider, a horse lover, or someone looking to enjoy a day out with the family, we hope you’ll come out! Remember, competing, spectating, or volunteering, you’re a valued member of the Kel-Mac Saddle Club family. Let’s make this show season one to remember! See you at the show ring!
