I'm Dan Burle, 53 years old, and I live near Bogart, GA, with my wife and daughter. I've been a horseman for most of my life and have had the opportunity to work in many areas of the horse industry.
I grew up working on a cattle farm in Missouri and Georgia, where I learned about hard work and found my love of working with and caring for horses. My love of horses began the foundation of learning the tools needed to become a successful trainer. In the beginning, I worked with whatever horses would come my way. Most had physical or mental challenges to overcome. During this time, I learned that many mental challenges were associated with physical challenges that the horse may have. In my quest to help these horses, I played a significant part in designing a gait analysis software that could help identify lameness signatures in horses. I became passionate about using it to study, teach, and educate people in all areas of the equine industry on how to work together to improve the mechanics of a horse's motion, from proper hoof care to training and rehab/fitness plans to rider mechanics.
Over the last ten years, I have focused my training time on the western performance horse world while managing a private farm operation in Good Hope, GA. Utilizing my same ideas and principles in coaching riders and training horses on the mechanics of motion has helped my horses and riders to win 13 world titles and hundreds of top 10 finishes across many western disciplines, including Reining, Working ranch horse, boxing, ranch cutting, herd work, roping, and many versatility events like trail class.
My passion for helping horses has always led me to have a great interest in equine hoof care.
As an IAPF-I accredited farrier, I work hard to keep learning and stay educated with the knowledge needed to help horses stay sound and perform their best.
My passions and commitment to excellence and learning show through in all aspects of my work and life, from being a horseman, a farrier, a coach, and a commercial-rated pilot.
